Solar Records

The Sound of Los Angeles.  If LA has a 70s soundtrack, it’d be a badass box set from Solar. And that’s what we set out to do, one last hurrah at actual packaged music, for a legendary Southern California recording studio and record label.

We were commissioned to design and illustrate special commemorative CDs for the 30th anniversary of the Solar Records. For the ‘Ultimate Collection,’ Stuart created illustrated packaging for recording 3 of the labels top artists: Shalimar, Midnight Star, and Lakeside.
